There are several free blogging sites where you can get started in just a few minutes and at no cost to you, and the free sites have both pros and cons when it comes to making a profit. When you are first starting out though, being able to do it with no upfront costs can be very enticing and typically outweighs all the cons. However, it may take several months to begin making a blogging profit.
The site www.blogger.com is one of the easiest free sites available. It allows almost all forms of blogging. It's easy to set up a blog in just a few minutes with very little information and no cash. There is even a built in way to begin making money. You have the option to add Google Adsense to your blog with just a few simple clicks of the mouse. You may not see a blogging profit for awhile though, but don't get discouraged.
Never load your blog down with codes, applications or other requirements for things that will not pay off. While Google Adsense is easy to start up on any blog, it often is not very lucrative for those with small amounts of traffic. More prolific methods of making money are paid blogging and banner ads.
After you have been blogging for awhile, you are likely to have built up a good amount of traffic to your site. There are companies that will pay you to put their advertising banner on the top, side or bottom of your blog when you have gained enough visitors. With this, you can be as selective as you want when agreeing to this form of advertising. It is a good idea to ensure the products being sold are targeted to whoever your main audience is so that they will be agreeable to seeing the advertisement.
The bottom line when blogging for money is truly the bottom line; and that is to make money. There are plenty of ways to make money with blog writing and there is absolutely no harm in trying any you might come across. However, if you've used them for awhile and they are not bringing in the blogging profit you desire, move on. If you dream of blogging for profit, then you can do so if you have the willingness to put in the time and work necessary. However, only a small percentage of people actually make the profits they expected from their blogs.
